DJ JFresh-One has been in the mix since the fall of 1997 as a sophomore in high school. “I remember starting off on a budget…cassette decks, a CD Walkman, and a Singalodeon,” says the spin doc. Back in his early years of spinning in Douglas, AZ, Fresh was performing at house parties, quinceneras, school dances, night swimmings at a city pool, and at a local radio station for a live weekly broadcast. Fast forward a few years, the DJ then advanced up on spinning at the nightclub “Pachangas” in Mexico for about 3 years while creating mixtape CDs on the side.
Then in 2006, JFresh-One attended to and graduated from The Conservatory of Recording Arts & Science located in Gilbert and Tempe, AZ. He trained professionally on all aspects of the music business, digital & analog recording, audio engineering, live sound technology, post-production, and much more. Afterwards, he moved to Las Vegas for almost a year to intern at One Vibe Studios while spinnin’ tunes in The Forum Shops of Caesar’s Palace. JFresh’s wife Honey Sunshine also attended The Conservatory with him and went to Vegas to intern at Mind Theatre Audio (post-production studio). Eventually, the two returned back to Arizona and the DJ continued spinnin’ a few gigs, created more mixtapes, and became a Sound Tech for his church for a couple of years.
Currently, DJ JFresh-One, Honey Sunshine, and now their first child reside in the Phoenix Valley. The disc jock not only spins as a mobile DJ but continues to reach his goals ambitiously in hopes to advance even more in his career in audio, radio, & DJing. When JFresh is not at a venue spinnin', he operates a worldwide known Hip-Hop podcast of mixtapes “THEMIXLAB” and runs The Mix Lab website along with his cousin, Jnx The Kemist, where they release numerous of mixtapes that have been downloaded THOUSANDS of times within the past years.
